When the vehicle was first released in last year, the 2011 Nissan LEAF was offered only in a few states. Now, the redesigned new 2012 Nissan LEAF will be available at Garland Nissan in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The 2012 Nissan LEAF is going to be offered in more states!
The Nissan LEAF EV, is the first all-electric vehicle to be mass produced in the entire world. The LEAF has grabbed the attention of eco-conscious car drivers as well as auto critics, since its debut in 2010. Many people registered on very long waiting lists just to sit inside a Nissan LEAF. This year, all drivers will get the chance to test drive the vehicle.
Orders for the new 2012 LEAF started in Connecticut, Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and New Hampshire. Deliveries of LEAF, with additional standard equipment including quick charging for 2012, will take its place in all key markets by year's end.
"Consumers have spoken, and it's clear that they are looking for a car that produces zero emissions and uses no gas," said Brian Carolin, senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Nissan North America. "We are seeing tremendous consumer interest in the Nissan LEAF in these new markets, particularly in the New York metropolitan area."1
A new online blog, NissanLEAFDrivers.com, will offer content from 14 different LEAF owners. Each will provide personal stories about owning the Nissan LEAF.
