Online Film Series Brings You Behind the Scenes of the Nissan DeltaWing

If you've ever thought you'd like to see exactly how a motorsports vehicle is made, you're in luck. Garland Nissan is pleased to share that Nissan is offering a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the DeltaWing racer.

Back when the DeltaWing first began its journey to creation, the team knew the task of finding an appropriate engine would be difficult. In fact, much of the auto's development looked to be a challenge...but an exciting one at that. Of course, Nissan is always ready to take on the most difficult of automotive feats so the automaker quickly decided to get in on the DeltaWing action. Quite literally.

Ben Bowlby, a Nissan DeltaWing designer, notes, "We've had the Nissan film crew following our every move throughout the development of the car over the past few months."1 In addition to partnering up for the racer's production, Nissan has indeed caught every exciting moment on camera. From now until the Le Mans 24 Hours, the automaker will air that footage throughout a series of documentary film clips.

Sure, creating a completely new race car can't be easy with an entire film crew breathing down your neck but Bowlby knows the reward comes in giving fans full access to a side of motorsports previously kept secret. Bowlby exclaims, "The finished product will be brilliant for the fans to get to see what goes on behind the scenes in the creation a project as unique as the Nissan DeltaWing."2

If you'd like to view the "finished product" for yourself and see how the DeltaWing was made, Garland Nissan encourages you to check out the Nissan Europe YouTube page where the series is posted. Also, if you have any questions regarding this project or any new Nissan model out there, feel free to stop and talk with one of our team members at 2507 Fort Campbell Blvd Hopkinsville, KY 42240 anytime.
